November 16, 17, 18, &19. Wherein lies a car crash.
Apparently, I fail at posting every day.

I do have a defense: I was busy and boring, styling costumes for boys and pulling tuxedos from costume storage for same. There's really no way to romanticize that or make it funny and charming. So really, I was doing you folks a favor.

There was one bloggable point in the weekend, though. NOLAN CRASHED COLIN (my sexy, black, 2007 Toyota Sequoia) INTO THE WALL OF OUR HOUSE.

I'm only just now getting over being absolutely furious with him, so that I can actually talk about it.

Okay, so here's the story. We have a three car garage, and I park in the single car entry, and Nolan parks in the double car entry (Why? I don't know. Because he's a man and he needs the bigger garage?). When pulling into my slot, you have to do so at such an angle that I usually just make a three point turn. Nolan, however, to prove his driving prowess, always slings the car around in a wide arc, and makes it without backing up. And then looks at me triumphantly, because I have no depth perception and would rather back up than hit the wall of the house.

Let me say that it always makes me nervous and uncomfortable when he does this, BECAUSE I DON'T WANT HIM TO MESS UP COLIN'S FACE. I ask him not to. Every time.

Sunday morning, on our arrival home from church (where we're driving my car and not his, because he just put his truck into the rolling stock at the shop and hasn't found a new truck, so he's driving my MIL's red jeep, which isn't super comfy for the four of us), Nolan is being his arrogant, smug driving self, cuts it too close, and scratches the HELL out of Colin. The brick garage wall was fine. I was pissed, the boys were wide-eyed, and Nolan said, "Don't blog about this."

Hah. Pththththththththtt.

I made that noise up there and muttered something about blogging whatever the hell I wanted, it was still a free country, and he just smiled and looked at the boys. "Looks like Mom is getting a new car."

Yeah, I'll believe that when it happens. I'm pathologically resistant to change, and I really like Colin. But if he's going to buy me a new car? I want THIS ONE.

I'm not going to hold my breath.
