My holiday, minus the raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.
We were all incredibly blessed this year. Overwhelmingly so, with friends and family and love and more freaking good cheer than you could shake a stick at.

It was a lot of good cheer, is all I'm saying. And it didn't all come from the egg nog. (Though some of it did. I'm not gonna lie.)

One of my favorite presents was a watercolor of our home.  Nolan commissioned one of his friends to do it.  It's really sort of wonderful.  I like it a lot.  I received a Keurig coffee maker.  I'm a little obsessed with that machine.  We also got to have a white Christmas, which was really amazing.

What was your favorite Christmas present?

Or, if presents aren't your thing, what was your favorite holiday moment?

(Hey, lurkers!  *waves* Now's a great time to come out of the woodwork and say hi!

No pressure.  But really.  Come on.  Show a little love. ;))

Ooh, a white Christmas and a Keurig. The watercolor sounds very special. And good cheer is priceless!

My favorite holiday moments were:

Giving my kids the olde-fashioned—if slightly dangerous—gifts that were top on their lists: roller skates, and a BB-gun (and all the safety gear to go with both, of course!). I was delighted that their wishes were still so charmingly kiddish, given that they are 10 and (gulp) almost-14.

And also, finding Knudsen's Sparkling Pear Juice - which I LOVE and can only ever find in stores this time of year - on sale for 50% off, then jokingly mentioning to the helpful store employee that I'd take a whole case, only to have him load up a whole case, box it up for me, give me an additional 10% case discount, and carry it out to my car!
