Beyond disturbing.

Every time this commercial comes on, I have to clench my teeth to stop from screaming and running from the room.

And now I've shared my psychosis with you.

You're welcome.

I used to see this commercial only at the movie theater and now it's on tv all the time. I just want to slit my wrists.
Carrie Leigh: Seriously?carrie_leigh on July 27th, 2010 01:16 pm (UTC)
A world filled with giant, rapping, hip-hop hamsters? No thank you.

It makes me shudder every time. Nolan threatens to pull out a gun every time he sees it.

Amen to that, sister! This commercial drives me up the wall.

I have a friend whose husband wanted her to get one of these cars when she was looking for a new one because it was dirt cheap. She told him he'd lost his mind if he thought she was getting a hamstermobile. She ended up with a Honda Civic.
Carrie Leigh: Have to look like an accidentcarrie_leigh on July 27th, 2010 01:21 pm (UTC)
Honestly? I hadn't ever looked at the car in the ad because of, you know, THE GIANT FREAKING HAMSTERS.
Comic Book Goddess: General - Ooooh Shinyrainpuddle13 on July 27th, 2010 01:23 pm (UTC)
My eyes always drift to the hideous pea soup green car. Seriously, who buys a car that color when they have a choice?

Sadly, there are at least 20 of these cars on campus - they're all the rage with 18 year olds apparently.

It's one of those times that I'm unbearably smug to be thirty-something.

Amen to that!

Unfortunately, taste isn't something that is acquired with maturity. Either you have it or you don't. Thankfully we both have it.

lol I can't stop chuckling. Maybe it's just because I haven't been exposed to it before.
Carrie Leigh: Meh dead like mecarrie_leigh on July 27th, 2010 01:19 pm (UTC)
I find it creepy. And annoying. It doesn't help that Aaron constantly walks around saying, "You can deal with this, or you can deal with that..."
Ayla: Mischieviousabitofayla on July 27th, 2010 02:09 pm (UTC)
Perhaps this is a bias, but I think hamsters are cute. Would I buy a Soul? No. I'm saving my pennies for an Avalanche, thanks.

Hamsters are made of love. And fur.
Ayla: Intriguedabitofayla on July 27th, 2010 04:56 pm (UTC)
Both are very true.

I love your icon.

I don't understand how Carrie cannot like them.

First time I've seen this.
It is creative but it starts to get old pretty fast.

I like hamsters. Those hamsters just look odd.

WHY ARE THEY WEARING JUMPSUITS.

Also, the hamsters riding a toaster? Makes no sense.
Carrie Leigh: Blonde pinupcarrie_leigh on July 27th, 2010 06:37 pm (UTC)
I think you're the only hamster I like.

I DON'T KNOW. BUT IT FREAKS ME OUT.

Anyone in a toaster, let alone a hamster, wouldn't make sense.

nbaekernbaeker on July 27th, 2010 06:16 pm (UTC)
I just don't get it.

it isn't like the chipmunks movie has been that good, right? who thinks that this is a good marketing scheme?

on the other hand, everytime this ad comes on for my friend jaffatech she boogies.
deedsk_tx on July 27th, 2010 07:22 pm (UTC)
When we see one of these cars on the road, the boys say "look Mommy...it's the rat car" They don't know the difference between rats, mice and hamsters....which all the same to me too!

I do dig the song though...a little 'old school' hip-hop baby!!!

I love this commercial! I don't know why, but I do. There are several commercials, though, that affect me in that visceral way you describe. Any Jack in the Box commercial, for example. That weird round head freaks me the hell out. Sorry this one doesn't do it for you.
Jessica K Malfoy: nature: pierjessicakmalfoy on July 28th, 2010 02:19 am (UTC)
oh man. aislynn LOVES this commercial. and we see it before every single movie at the theater for some reason.
sue_bridehead on July 28th, 2010 04:15 am (UTC)
Wow. Just, wow.
Alluring_Twilight: Facepalmalluringt_light on July 29th, 2010 08:05 am (UTC)
Maybe it's because I'm crazy and don't see ads like that often, or that I'm young, but I found that hilarious to watch. Thankfully, I don't think they sell that hideous car in Australia yet - and if they do, I haven't seen it. Nor will I ever buy it *shudder*
O Demanding One: Express: Uh-oh! Booheyurs on July 29th, 2010 03:54 pm (UTC)

I can't see it here at work, but as long as it doesn't have feathered creatures in it...it doesn't, does it? *shudders* I WILL NOT be looking at it, if that is the case. >.<

Carrie Leigh: Being vaguecarrie_leigh on July 29th, 2010 04:12 pm (UTC)
No feathers. Fur. It's a bunch of gigantic, timberland wearing, hip hop hamsters. Freaky.
O Demanding One: Express: Good Damn Griefheyurs on July 29th, 2010 11:29 pm (UTC)

Yeah. Seen that. Don't like it for many reasons. >.<
