Oh, Ethan. The Glee of it all.
We were listening to Glee - The Music "Journey to Regionals" on the way home tonight, and when we got to Any Way You Want It / Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', Ethan, who is a HUGE Journey fan (probably because Nolan listened to Wheel in the Sky at a high decibel level while the kid was in utero) said:

E. Why are they messing up the song?

Me. It's called a mash up. They take two songs and mush them together.

E. (Curls lip and wrinkles nose) Whatever.

(Don't Stop Believing comes on, and he pipes up:)

E. They better not mash this one up.

Ethan's hilarious, but you know this. :D

p.s. When are you going to do something about the brick? Toss it, sister!

OH, the brick. Nolan LOVES the brick. He says he sleeps better than he has in years.

I loathe the brick. I long for the days of my old crappy mattress that I only THOUGHT I hated.

I thought you were going to replace said brick. He loves it? Aw, that just rots.

It's all about the patience. I know I'll get my way eventually.

It only takes time.

Muahaha.

the BRICK
You keep quiet. This is between my wife, me and the Brick. This doesn't concern you. I still love you though.

LOL!

Well, nolankyle has his own lj account now? Woo! It's official now. Welcome.

I'll try to keep quiet about the brick, deal? At least where you can see me...

I am not a big fan of that mashup either.

I'm with him! Except I'd do the lip curl thing AT Journey, too. But 99% of the time I'm not a fan of mash-ups (I do like Kid Rock's All Summer Long where he does Sweet Home Alabama and Werewolves of London, just for the sheer genius of the combination. That and I grew up where he did.)

It's not the kid's fault if he likes Journey if he heard it while in the womb. In that case, I blame the parents. (*gives Nolan the eye*)
