Trip & Readthru

Our trip to Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C was very successful.  If I hadn't getten very sick the last day we were there, I'd say it was perfect.  My sister has a FABULOUS housein Annapolis, which I love, love, love...  think hardwood floors throughout, original mouldings, gorgeous windows, this fantastic ornate gigantic mirror in the entryway, three stories, two separate staircases, an enormous dining room, and enough room for 10 people to live, sleep and eat comfortably for 4 days.  Thanks for the hospitality, Em & C. W.  Thanksgiving dinner rocked.

Virginia was fabulous.  Must go back...  went to Monticello, (Thomas Jefferson's home), Colonial Williamsburg, (So adorable) and an (Carter's?) apple orchard where I had the BEST apple I've ever had in my life.  I was already sick when we were in D.C., and everyone's seen pictures of the White House and the Washington Monument, so you don't need to see mine.

Now If I could have some of these for the house...

Thomas Jefferson's amazing vegetable garden...  And the view...

The first readthru of The Odd Couple was very promising.  Hubby actually went to school with the two leads...  says they're good.  They were okay at the read-thru.  I got the sense that the'll get better.  A sweet friend that I was in The Importance of Being Earnest with is the cop, he's so great, it'll be fun to do a show with him again, one of the guys wasn't there, one gets on my nerves, and one I'd really like to get to know better.  Platonically, of course. (He's gay.  Owns a tailoring shop.) And the other Pigeon sister is indeed the girl I auditioned with.  Makes me wonder who else showed up to the cattle call.  I'm not going to ask, though.  Just cling to the hope that I was the most fabulous and do the best job I can.  It's gonna be stinking FUNNY.
