Lazy Sunday Morning
I adore Sunday mornings. Our church meets on Saturday night, so Sundays are wonderful, sleepy, lazy, don't-get-out-of-my-pyjamas-until-I'm-good-and-ready days. Last night I slept with earplugs in, which always assures me a fabulous night's sleep; unfortunately, I can't do it every night as I'll sleep right through my alarm clock. So I went to bed around midnight last night and woke up naturally at 9:30. Perfection. Seriously, my freaking cup overflows.

Currently, the boys are wearing Star Wars costumes (Ethan's Dark!Annakin and AJ is Luke Sykwalker, and they're sort of AU pretending. It's pretty entertaining. Nolan has finished the video game I got him for Christmas, Call of Duty, World at War, and after you beat all the levels or whatever, it opens up a bonus game at the end, NAZI ZOMBIES. (As if Zombies aren't bad enough on their own, Nazi zombies are even evil-er!) anethema_device warned me it would have him if he started, and I think we're on week three of killing those glowing-eyed, flailing weirdos.

In other news, the dgficexchange posted the big reveal! I won for funniest story and funniest line in The Art of Deception and the story that mynuet and I wrote together rpg style, The Halfway House, won for best Ginny, which was awfully nice after the business earlier this fall where it was said that I shouldn't bother writing her anymore. Just goes to show that one troll's opinion doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things!

Rehearsals start tomorrow for Over the Tavern, which is always fun, and Nolan and I are going to San Antonio this weekend to entertain business clients, so that's worth looking forward to, as well. All in all, it's a happy day!
I am:: the couch

'The Halfway House' was by far my favourite story this time around.

Thanks! We had an awfully good time writing it! We have an awfully good time writing them, period, at si_muove_rpg.

Congratulations! I enjoyed both stories very much. I was metaphorically on the edge of my seat while reading The Halfway House, but everything turned out okay. :) Hehe. I remember when my brother and I used to play Star Wars. I always had the cheap blue lightsaber and he had the nice green one.

I'm glad you liked The Halfway House. We enjoyed writing it.

They got new lightsabers for Christmas. One of them makes cool noises, and the other lights up, spring loaded. Lotsa cool.

I warned you. Gareth is threatening to buy it for the Wii. I said if he did he was setting it up in another room.

Yay on the prizes, and please don't stop writing Ginny. I love your Ginny.
Carrie Leigh: Stupid Boycarrie_leigh on January 25th, 2009 11:43 pm (UTC)
I'm telling you, I thought your warning was funny until it happened to ME!

Nope, I'm still writing Ginny. I like her a lot. :)
anethema_deviceanethema_device on January 25th, 2009 11:56 pm (UTC)
I think I should let him buy it. I will get more peace for sceneing..

Thank you, thank you. Congratulations to you, as well, Miss award winning sweetest Fic!

It doesn't sound boring, at any rate!
seegrimseegrim on January 26th, 2009 12:59 am (UTC)
Seriously. I'll take 'it doesn't sound boring' at this point.

They were both really great. There were a couple of lines from "The Art Of Deception" that I'd felt I'd read before, but I can't think why. Any chance of them being uploaded to FIA?
Carrie Leigh: D loves Gcarrie_leigh on January 25th, 2009 11:45 pm (UTC)
I will upload them to FIA, and I didn't appropriate anyone else's material, as far as I know. :)
WolfStarwolfstar07 on January 27th, 2009 04:43 am (UTC)
The only conclusion I can come up with (since I don't even remember what was familiar at the time) is that perhaps there's a similar story already at FIA or ff.net, except I thought it was some dialogue that sounded familiar. Who knows, I could have been having a major case of deja vu (again).

I just really want to say, that I want COD5(World at War) because I love the previous Call of Duty Games *g*

He's beat them all, but you can't "win" Nazi Zombies, I don't think.

Waking up naturally cures a multitude of ills. Indeed.

Gal, you're unbelievable! Three awards, a trip to San Antonio, and a part in the play? Rock on! :D

Now I have some goodies to read-!
Carrie Leigh: little carrie readingcarrie_leigh on January 26th, 2009 02:11 am (UTC)
Well, San Antonio isn't the most exotic locale on the map, but at least it'll be a change of scenery. :)

And yes! Go forth and read!
