Nolan and I are a host home for our church's youth retreat.

2 1/2 pounds of bacon, 2 dozen eggs, 3 dozen cinnamon rolls, a gallon of orange juice and a half a gallon of milk later, and my 12 teenage boys are fed.

HEE! You sound like my Mum in the early years. My big brother and his friends ate like that, of course, but then she had me and my sister. I heard her just the other day saying how she kept expecting to finally have girls fill the house ...

However, it turned out that I just didn't have any girlfriends, so there were always a house full of boys over and it was feeding and army.

Then my sister, whom she thought finally she would have girls in the house. Nope. HA! And the thing is? We're both homebody girls so there's a full house of boys every weekend! We all go to church together on Sunday's with parents, us and the boyfriends (and sometimes a few of the boy friends) and there's always more boy friends when we get home for brunch XDXD - Needless to say, at this point now that we're all in our twenties? Preparation and clean-up is a TEAM effort ;)

Hm. It was not so much 'team' as just me, today. But it was the only meal I have to feed them this weekend, so I'm good.

I is tired, though. REALLY tired. We didn't get to bed 'til 2 am, and the boys were up and playing the x-box at 6:45.

Costco. That is all I have to say about having teenage boys.

And also, once while my Dad, brother and one of his friends were roofing my Grandpa's office next door to our old house - both boys were 16 - they came inside while my Mum was out with us girls and at the WHOLE turkey in the oven, a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk. For lunch.

*shakes head*

Yeah, it sounds like you might need a nap today, though, Miss Carrie. Unlike rabid X-Box fans, Mums need more sleep.

(And I'm glad you're dad is doing better. I've been praying for him and your family ;)

I think I read somewhere that voluntarily inviting 12 teenage boys into your home and feeding them is a guaranteed ticket to heaven. Wow.

I KNEW it would pay off. ;)

O.o They were eating light! *giggles* I think you deserve a spa weekend or something for volunteering to have 12 teenage boys in your house. ;)

OMG. *applauds* You're amazing. xD

Although I have to agree with Kel, they were eating light. xD I've seen my brother and his friend decimate approximately the same amount of food in one morning. O_O

Its a special experience to go to your fridge to make breakfast and realize that two people have eaten two weeks worth of food. *cries*

Go take a nap, hun. :D You've earned it.

My hat is off to you! I struggle to keep one teenage boy fully fed at times ;)
