Once More into the Beach, Dear Friends...
★ I worry about myself.

★ I just spent about a good minute trying to remember what those orange vegetables are called... you know, the ones with the green tops that Bugs Bunny eats?

★ *headdesk*

★ When Nolan told AJ that he was 'a couple of cans short of a six pack' this weekend, Aaron lifted his shirt, looked at his tummy and replied, "I don't have a six pack. I don't even have a four pack."

★ I finished plotting out a WIP. That's so very gratifying. Wrote a drabble for hp_humpdrabbles, and sent new chapter for for editing. I'm ALL accomplished. The writing drought is officially over. Whew. Thank goodness. I was getting a little mopey about it. I'm looking around for an rpg to write for, but can't find any that need whom I'm willing to write. :)

★ I've been sewing the heck out of a strapless, sparkly dress for Kiss of the Spider Woman. I'm thinking about making one for myself (minus the sparkly, spidery vibe) for the cruise I'm going on in February.

★ We're going on a cruise in February! I CAN'T WAIT.

★ I learned that friends are still friends even when we don't talk every day.

★ The scale won't move past thirteen pounds. I'd love to have lost 20 by the time we get on the boat. Lose it! is still my BFF. Counting calories and exercising. Go figure. :P Twenty-two more pounds to go.

★ Bond girls were curvier in the sixties. For that matter, so were women in during the renaissance. When did stick thin become what everyone wanted to be?

★ I learned that friends are still friends even when we don't talk every day.

★ Nolan just pointed out that James Bond must not have had to worry about STD's. He was kind of trampy. (But hot. Er, that's MY observation, not his.)

★ I need a new camera. Like, bad.

★ What do we think of Miss Me jeans? I tried some on and yes, they look great, but a hundred and something bucks is a lot to drop on a pair of pants, you know? And certainly not til I'm in the single digits, size wise.

★ It's distressing to have principles, at times.

★ That's it. My Sunday evening roundup. Do you have any news?

I've got a bit left to do for this lesson in my online class, but right after that, I'm hitting that editing like it's going out of style.

As far as the weight loss goes, congrats! 13lbs is nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure. You might have just hit a little plateau. Maybe try ramping up you exercise for a couple of days (adding an extra day of working out, or a few more reps); alternately, try and throw in a couple of different exercises that your body isn't used to, or really crack down on the calories for a few days. Just something that might kickstart your body into being, "Oh hey, right. We're getting rid of this stuff!"

This weekend's been lazy as all get out for me. The boy and I looked at dogs we can't have Saturday, and I wasted too much time today on video games -_-
Carrie Leigh: nice asscarrie_leigh on January 24th, 2011 03:26 am (UTC)
Ugh, I'm a little embarrassed that I sent it to you; I found a boatload of mistakes this afternoon.

So apologies in advance.

I love dogs. Mine make me smile all the time.

And I'll give it all a shot - my motivation is getting on a boat with a bunch of model-thin friends. Love them, but... *groan*
JEB: rebelsfilia_umbrae on January 24th, 2011 04:29 am (UTC)
No worries about the mistakes, that's the whole point in sending it to someone else in the first place!

I love dogs too, but I have promised myself that I can't have another one until I am out of my apartment, and at a job where I am not consistently spending 10 hours days at works.

Right there with you on the skinny friends. I am now daily reminded of the metabolism I will never have as my boyfriend inhales sickening amounts of pasta and sweets and stays disgusting 125. I love him. But I also hate him a little bit for that.

Other things I've heard that help are exercising in the morning, since that gets your metabolism jumpstarted for the whole day. Personally, I can't be convinced to get up any earlier than absolutely necessary sooooooooo...yeah. /lazy

I also worry about you.

I lie to people and tell them I'm alergic to carrots, so I can't blame you for your momentary Alzeheimer's.

YAY for finding joy in writing again! That makes me happy - because you are one of the best writers I've ever read and most CERTAINLY one of the best writers I've ever had the priviledge to write with.

I think you should for sure make yourself the dress - and go for the sparkles - everything is better with sparkles (except vampires).

YAY YAY for a cruise! What kind of cruise? where??

Congrats on losing 13lbs! That's awesome. I start my diet at the end of the week so currently I'm chomping on a strawberry tart. :)

Hrm - I've never thought of the STD issue - but if Henry VIII can get syphilis I'm thinking James Bond probably popped anti-biotics every morning. EW. Do you have a favourite James Bond? While I think they've all been good looking - I'm still a Pierce Brosnan girl. I've loved him since I saw Noble House on tv when I was 8. *g*

I ALSO need a new camera. I'm about to post some pictures of Bethy from last night that I took with mine and they are CRAP! Our good camera was stolen in Mexico this August. I was not impressed. :/ (that was my face)

I love that you have principles. It means you have integrity. I like that about you.

ALSO - do you need the link for the Series Premiere of Being Human? I have it if you need it - I literally screamed at my screen when I watched. I've been giddy all night.
Carrie Leighcarrie_leigh on January 24th, 2011 03:49 am (UTC)

YES, PLEASE.

And we cruise out of Puerto Rico to Aruba and St. Thomas and somewhere else. I don't care! It's a vacation somewhere WARM!
Jandy the Gnome Whisperer: BH - Mitchell Smirk 1964jandjsalmon on January 24th, 2011 04:04 am (UTC)
Email sent with the link. And warm is DEFINITELY a good thing. If I could fit in your suitcase I would tag along. Unfortunately I don't think I'll lose THAT much weight. Alas.

You like Being Human, too? *bounces*

So important, it counts twice.

Miss Me jeans are AWESOME and totally worth the money (in my opinion). I have four pairs. They're cute, comfortable, have a good cut for girls with curves, good with heels and made of quality denim.

So glad you're back in the writing groove! Congrats on the WIP!! *high fives!!!!* (RPG's. We'll have to talk, you and I :D)

I learned that friends are still friends even when we don't talk every day.

I've learned that too. *snuggles*

Principles can be tough. As my pastor always says though, we follow a guy who was murdered. Don't expect it to be easy.

As my pastor always says though, we follow a guy who was murdered. Don't expect it to be easy. I've never seen Christianity from this view point. Your pastor must be something else!!

Miss Me huh? I'll look for them when ever I get stateside.

Dood. You have NO idea :D ... Pastor Mark Driscoll is pretty well known for... well, just saying it like it is. I like listening to him because he's just flat out honest, even if it's an uncomfortable honesty. Plus he's funny!! I challenge you to listen to the first fifteen minutes or so of this sermon on the Song of Songs... HILARIOUS. Here.

Yes. Miss Me jeans are amazing. You can find them online too!! Here.

Thanks for these links. I'm going to check them out now. Hadn't had a chance till now. :)

"Friends are still friends even when we don't talk everyday."

Amen to that, woman.
Mala13oct on January 24th, 2011 03:27 pm (UTC)
Yayaya for THIRTEEN whole pounds. WOOOOTT!!

Thanks for the link as well. I'll look into it. Lord knows I *need* to loose some weight as well!

Hooray for curvy girls (meee, meee!!) and cruises.

Pooo to the carrots. I'm terrible as well and thank my stars for my planner which keeps me organized and sane.
