I'm fairly brimming with Christmas spirit.
And that sounds like sarcasm, I realize, coming from me, but this year I really mean it. I mean heck, if I knew that all it would take is a little Lexapro, a few glasses of pinot noir and the occasional nap to get me through the holidays without being homicidal, I would have done it long ago.

I still am completely crippled by the decision making process, though.

Sugar cookies

Mom's Chocolate Bread

Coffee toffee

Caramel pecan clusters

Chocolate Mint wafers ...think girl scout thin mints

Fudge

Lemon Poppyseed Bread

Holiday Nuggets ...like Mexican Wedding cookies

Biscotti. Chocolate chip pecan, or blueberry walnut.

You may have noticed my particularly chocolate bent to voting. I loves me some chocolate. :D

And as a psychiatrist, the joke is always with "better living through chemistry" as a punchline. I think it's as much the relaxing and taking time out for yourself amidst all the hubbub that makes a difference in how you experience stress.

where's shortbread!? And Gingerbread!?

i'm shocked and appalled, Carrie, i really am.
Carrie Leighcarrie_leigh on December 14th, 2009 03:38 am (UTC)
Hm. There's not room for it all. One must leave room for other bakers. ;)

HA! A pun! *points to you*

Luckily for you, I have indeed made both of those. My first batch of shortbread is already gone, however. Gotta make some more. Maybe tomorrow.

Hrm... I voted sugar cookies - but they are only decent with icing and sprinkles. If you aren't going the sprinkles route then I change my vote to chocolate bread. ;)
Carrie Leighcarrie_leigh on December 14th, 2009 03:37 am (UTC)
Like I'd make sugar cookies without icing and sprinkles.

I'd be a client if you'd send me any of this stuff. *drool* XD

And... chocolate bread? That sounds like the most fantastic thing ever. Boy am I craving sweets. :D

Dude.

If you do happen to put in 'holiday nuggets'? Please, for the love Pete, don't call them that. For some reason it made me ew. :D

Here, Important Client, have a holiday nugget.

Nope. Doesn't quite work for me.

p.s. Love you. Miss you.

I changed the name to Snow Sandies.

I'm not sure that's any better.

Miss and love you, too. :)

This post almost makes me wish I was one of your clients! Everything looks yummy!
raspberry_rave on December 11th, 2009 10:09 pm (UTC)
Chocolate all the way, except for coffee and sugar cookies ;)

And now I'm craving sweets...
slitherhither: paolo_cigarslitherhither on December 12th, 2009 07:44 am (UTC)
Yum!!

Some are being shipped long distances, yes? The crumble-ability factor might need to be factored in then, eh?

Happy baking!

YUM! I'm with Coley, though. Some gingerbread or shortbread sounds extra YUM! :)

Um... Hello?
*de-lurks*...

Ummm... I followed a link off of ffiction.net to here yesterday and have since been looking at your lovely food recipes. However, I feel vaguely impolite having seen pictures of your family (very cute children, btw!) without stopping by to introduce myself.

So - hello! `Tis nice to meet you. And I vote for the biscotti, because it always looks so decorative!

*Goes back to lurking. Please don`t mind the Canadian in the background =) *

Re: Um... Hello?
Hullo! Nice to meet you, too.

Always nice to have a drop in. Feel free to stop by anytime!
