Teenaged boys are gone, my own children have not yet arrived back home, so I'm basking in the glow of a quiet home.  I've been trying to put things back together.  It's not too bad, really.  They were sweet boys, and made me laugh a LOT.  We really enjoyed ourselves this weekend, and a couple of the boys will be forever changed by the retreat, I think.  So it was worth it.

The band that they had for the kids was fabulous.  I bought a CD.  They're out of Houston and they rock.  I don't even really like most "Christian" music.  They're called The Access, and their music can be heard here.  Seriously, you won't be disappointed.  No cheesy stuff here.

Also (lest you think I've become someone else), how cute are these necklaces?  Must not.  Must resist.  But if I get Christmas money, We all know what I'm going to buy...

Aaaand, Mrs. Meyers Clean Day All Purpose Cleaner and Countertop Spray in geranium scent?  I want to marry it and have little awesome baby cleaning products with it.  It's de-funkifying my house as we speak.  :D

You folks have a lovely rest of your lazy Sunday afternoon.  I'm going to work on my exchange fic.  Must.  Finish. Soon.  Eeek.  EEEEEEEEK.

The retreat sounds awesome! I think I'd totally like to do something like that someday - maybe I'll get into youth ministry at Church *ponders* I tried to get into some kind of Girls & Boys club mentoring when I graduated from college, but they want their mentors to be 25 and I'm only 24. *ponders*

Also good Christian music? Your Love is Strong by Jon Foreman (He's the lead singer of Switchfoot and did some solo, Christian work). I'm not huge into 'Christian music' either, but I've found some real gems of late. *smooshes*

How's your dad doing? I continue to keep him and your family in my prayers :)

Hope you have a good, lazy Sunday too!

The retreat was awesome - which was a welcome change from the women's retreat I went to last weekend - I didn't get a thing out of that, sadly. But ministering to the needs of boys? I may have found a calling. I love feeding people who love to eat. Seriously. And some of those kiddos never get any affection, you can tell. *sadface* I just mothered them to pieces. :D

Daddy is much better. The did a biopsy which was benign, and are treating what he has with medicine rather than surgery right now. He's still planning on coming for Thanksgiving this week, so yay for that! Thanks for your prayers. I appreciate them so, so much.
